The Proposal Day

I was excited at the same time very nervous..
It was the D day..the day when i was going to propose the love of my life..

"Where are you dude", I inequired ..
"I am on my way, will reach indore in 20 mins"..Sahil said.
He was returning to indore from bhopal and I didnt even allow him to go home..
He was about to bring the cake and the gift which i had selected for her..

I was stuck with some family work and was not able to get them by myself..:(

We selected the venue as Sapna Sandwitch as it was the most romantic place I knew..:)
I told her that we would be going to Sapna Sandwitch as it was the best place
to spend quality time...The other factor was also that it was not big on pocket..
very affordable..:)
We decided to leave by 7 pm..

It wanted everything to go according to the plan..frm Sahil's surprise visit, to
my proposal..

We left at 7..I was continously talking to sahil while riding and this made her
a bit suspicious..I was also riding very slowly which made her more agitated,
bt i somehow managed the situation..

We reached the desired venue in 45 mins..

Sapna sandwitch is one of the favorite places for the young love birds,
specailly the college going couples..

There was a table reserved by me at the last corner of the resturant because I wanted
as few people as possbile to see me on my knees..:P

We started talking and ordered paneer sandwithces..
Half and hour later I could see Sahil approaching us with a big bag..
I knew the cake was big.. 2 pounds..:)

"Hey some1 is walking towards our table" ,exclaimed her..

"Sahil how come you here??", I inquired..
Today i am here to propose a gal..he said grining..

She was totally puzzled..what to say and what to expect..

Sahil took the box out and placed the cake on the table..
She was perplexed and at the same time mesmerized by seeing the cake which was
big and had a craving of a  man proposing to a gal..

By now she understood what was going on and why..

Sahil shrewdly kept the gift in my hand..without been noticed by her..

For the 1st time in my life I was on my knees before a gal..
People on the neighboring tables had their eyes glued on our table..
I was feeling really embarrassed and had to go to washroom..lolzz

After coming from washroom both of them started laughing..
I yelled at them and told them to keep mum..

This time I decided not to look anywhere else but in her eyes..
I took her hand in mines and went on my knees again..
I could see that happiness, excitement and love,  deep in her eyes..
I went ahead with the shayari I had reiterated and was the most romantic shayari
known to me..
Than I sang the song "Mai jitni Martaba tujhe ho dekhta ye lagta hai mujhe" and
got lost..
I didnt knew what I said after that as words started pouring out by themselves..

The last word which i could remember was "YES" said by her which I was dying to listen..

I was on cloud9..Sahil congratulated both of us and wished for our long term relationship..

Than came surprise part-II which was the gift which I had selected for her..A "Pendant"..
Its beautiful exclaimed her..

"Let cut the cake", said Sahil..
I told her to hold the knife and than took her hands in mine..
Cake was cut and now it was time for some face painting..

I steped towards sahil but found both of them coming towards me with lot of
cream on their hands as their ammunition..

I understood that the target was me..Gentely and slowly I was given the facial of
my life..Fully painted I was looking like a joker with a red cherry on my nose..

Sahil brought his dg cam and was busy clicking pics from different angle..
He also made a video when i was on my knees and I was about to kill him for this..

Finally we made our way out of Sapna Sandwitch..
A great day.."The D Day" fianlly came to an end..

My 1st date.....

I was really excited..Everything was going on gr88....I finally proposed the gal who loved me like juliet might have loved romeo and today was a special day for both of us..
Today was our 1st date..
I was busy asking some of the love gurus about their 1st date..where they went..what they did..??
Some suggested candle light dinner,few adviced to go for a long drive, while others said disc is the best option..

I was all confused and everything looked messed up as I was not even sure about the venue yet..forget the gifts and other surprises..
Finally a sentence from our past conversation hit my mind..."I want to go to ISKCON temple, I have never been there.Anky lets plan something in the coming weekend" was what she said.
Hmm so I was all relieved now as I have conquered the world or done something extraordinary..:P
But its really hard to decide venues when you have to plan for such special occasions...
So it was decided than we are going to ISKCON temple..I liked the idea as the temple was far from our place and also it was not in some crowded area..I was thinking about the long drive on bike..:)
well boys think that way...you cant blame..:P

I called her up and told her to get ready my 6 as I knew that she would take at least 1 hour for make up and all stuff and even in worst case we would be able to go by 7..
To my surprise she was ready on time...a rare thing in gals..:P
She was looking stunning in black top and blue jeans..She wore a nostril and had put on kajal , which in my view is enough for a gal to look beautiful apart from her natural looks..I was all lost but came to my senses by her a punch on my shoulder. "well you have the whole evening left to admire me..can we leave now" she inquired..

So finally our date started..

It was Saturday evening so the traffic was full on and it took us an hour to reach Bombay hospital.
Well people from Indore knows it and for others let me tell you that till Bombay hospital we have the main road but from their till ISKCON temple we have to go through a colony.

Roads in the colony are not well constructed..somewhere it was like GAV ki pakdandi...but whtever it was we had to go that way only..
I had gone to the temple only once so I too didnt knew the exact way..but I was sure to find 1 by any means..
It was winter times so it was already dark...There was only the light from my bike on the whole road..
I was all confused where to go because it was dark and all the roads looked the same..
"I think we are lost..I cant remember what path we took on my 1st visit to ISKCON", I said grinning..
She looked at me with surprise and anger..She was skeptical and gave a long and questioning stare...as in asking me what was running in my mind ...
I started talking all rubbish that I cant remember anything and how will we get home now..we are stuck in the middle and there is no1 around ...
Finally I was able to frighten her..she was acting like a small child who gets lost in a dark room and calls for her mother..I was enjoying her talks and those feeble punches on my back which we actually appeasing my back pain..
Finally we were able to find a human soul there. He gave a puzzled look on seeing us.
I told him that we wanted to go to ISKCON temple but were lost so can he help us.
He introduced himself as  a home tutor and told us that he was going the same way.
As all uncles do he too advised us not to come here so late and to be more cautious..
Finally we reached our destination the temple of LORD KRISHNA...
It was a beautifully built temple with small gardens on either side..The curtains were moved as it was AARTI time  and we were amazed to see the beautiful idols of Lord Krishna and Radha..

After the aarti we took prashad and started exploring the temple..It was the 1st time other than the day I proposed her when I found her so happy.She was roaming in all around the temple like a small bird who had just learned to fly.Sometimes she wanted to sit in the garden while the other moment she wanted to go on the roof ..She kept on talking and laughing.. I was really complacent to see her that way..
Finally we sat in the garden and kept on talking till the time priest came and told us that the temple was getting closed.
We gave a Y do we have to go?? look to the priest and walked out as if we were some great devotee of Krishna and he was turning out to be an obstacle in our prayers..

"Its time to go", I told her...What happened next is all secret and confidential..:P
Nwys I really enjoyed my 1st date and was on cloud 9 on getting the response for the efforts which I made to plan the surprise visit to ISKCON temple..:)))

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you…….All office employees were out of their cubicles, some to genuinely wish The Boss on his birthday and some for tempting Pastries and Pizzas…

Being in Human Resource Department, Priya was concerned for all employees’ presence. She was informally chatting with all and suddenly she looked at Aakash – A 23 years old boy sitting on his desk in computer Department. As usual, he was staring at Computer Screen and his fingers were tapping on keyboard with the Speed of Rajdhani Express . Priya went to him and sarcastically said.” Aakash, why don’t you just get inside the computer box? She found him Intellectual Giant but very shy by nature. He used to talk very less. Priya admired his smile very much. At 10 in the night, her mobile rang, seeing mobile number of her boss, she received .There was a SILENCE from Priya’s end, her eyes were wide open, she felt numbness..she was just holding a phone..After hanging up, she sobbed so loudly..she could not believe words of her boss…”Priya, Aakash has committed Suicide..He is going to be taken for Postmortem. It was a routine boys tlk going on btwn Rahul and his bst buddy Amit. They were discussing abt d upcoming fashion show in abhay prashal by sdps woman clg and figuring out some means to get d passes..Amit was in renaissance clg and was telling rahul abt d fun he had in his fresher's party..

Suddenly rahul came up wid an idea of organizing a shcl get together party..
"lets invite all our friends who were wid us till 4th" ,rahul tld amit..
amit was amazed bcz it had been 11 years down d line and thy had no clue where most of thr childhood frnds were..

Rahul was lost in his world..remembering those past memories..how thy used to go to shcl by riskshaw..all fun thy had..suddenly his sail through d memories came to a halt..it was her..Sonia...he becme nostalgic..all memories started pouring in at once..games which thy played togethr..cycling in d evening and how can he forget those samll fights thy had..he was trying to remember d incident whn he was fighting wid sonia for a corner seat and a slap..!!!
he was ready to retaliate bt saw d beautiful face of sonia covered wid hands..trying to convey tht plzz dont hit m..

he got anothr blow on his back bt dis time it was amit..he came back to reality and asked amit to contact those who were in town from thr class 4th batch..rahul came back home and started searching for sonia..d best means was social networking..
he only knw tht she left for ujjain aftr completing her 4th standard..

He was bsy searching all sonia's living in ujjain...nn finally aftr 4 hrs of searching he found his gal..thr was a pic of rani mukherji..thr were only some 500 scraps which showd tht she was nt an orkut freak..mre precisely orkut addict..

finally he decided to tl her hw much he had missed her aftr she left..her departure was like a shock to him..he had no1 left to play..fight nn mst importantly share his immature thoughts..

"ur kidding man..u found her?? really", enquired amit , he was astonished to hear abt sonia frm him.."I think I was in love dude..childhood love..u knw" rahul tld amit
and also abt all thoughts tht kept on surging in his mind all d day bfre..

"R u serious..?? do u still love her..?? it has been 11 years and u guys havn't seen ech othrs face once..bet m she wont even remem u.." ,amit tld rahul..

I dont knw nythng, I jst wanna tlk to her..share all tht i have in my mind..I think it might b late..she wld have a bf..or on d worst side she wont even remem m..bt I ll give it a try..rahul left home saying dis to amit wid a hope of getting his frndshp req been accepted..

He sat on his computer and logged on to orkut widout wasting a single min..
he quickly searched d list of frnd reqs he has sent and to his amazement sonia name was nt thr..it meant tht she had accpetd d req..yes!! she still remems m..
rahul was on cloud 9..

In a blink of an eye she came ol and pinged him..he had goose bumps all over his body..she had a long list of questions w8ng for him..how did u found m aftr so long..??
where u had been so many years..?? and d list was endless..

They started chating regularly..sonia was in jaipur and was doing engineering..
she had few frnds thr..mst of her bst buddies were in ujjain..rahul was a bit disappointed nt to find his name in her bst buddies list bt thn he appeased himslf thinking abt 11 long years thy had remained apart..
he was really happy to find tht she remembered all d fun and fights which thy had togethr spclly d slap 1..she laughed aloud on remembering tht incident bt thn apologized d nxt min for hitting him tht hard..:)

As time passed thy became gud frnds again..they used to chat for 2-3 hrs and had started njoying ech othrs company..Rahul felt tht dis was d right time to tell her wht all he felt and hw much he missed her..

Sonia was ol..she had msged him to come ol immediately..Rahul pinged her..aftr a little conversation of hi..hellos and wassp, sonia became silent..she stopped responding..thr was smethng wrong...
"R u upset", rahul asked her..Is everythng f99 at home ??..

well thr was no response bt suddenly rahul cell started ringing..it was sonia
she was crying like hell..rahul tried to appease her and asked her wht d matter was??
thn came d ans which he never expected..sonia had a bf and she had a bitter fight with him..down came d tears frm his eyes..y didnt she tell him abt her bf bfre..nw he had started liking her again..bt all in vain..

Rahul...rahul..r u thr called a soft voice..it was of sonia..rahul came back to his senses and forgot his pain..he started consoling her and ensured her tht all ll b f99..

He cldnt sleep d whole nite..d word bf was going round nn round in his mind..shld he tell d truth to her..confess his liking fr her..bt wht if she says no...hw wld she feel aftr listening all dis..wht if she even dont want to be frnds wid him..all scary thoughts started pouring in his mind..finally he decided nt to confess nythng, bt to help her in all ways he can and alwys remain frnds wid her..

Sonia was a happy gal nw..she had reconciled wid her bf..it was all bcz of rahul's advice and efforts tht thr bond become stronger..
"Ur my bst buddy rahul", sonia confirmed while having a chat wid him..
"It was a vry small thing for my sweetest frnd ever" ,rahul responded..

Slowly wid time rahul learnt to abscond all his feelings for her..
Today both rahul and sonia are into job and work for top IT companies of India..
Though both have become bsy nw, bt whnever thy gt time,thy never fail to confess the truth tht thy r bst frnds and ll remain forever..:)
